United States criminal code 18 U.S.C. Section 2257 and its related administrative regulations adopted by the U.S. Department of Justice, require detailed compliance with recordkeeping requirements to document the identity and age of models whose images are recorded in adult entertainment photographs and videos.

The law imposes different duties on producers and distributors of adult content, and Licensee acknowledges that Licensor is not providing legal advice concerning whether or how the law applies to Licensee by providing the MP§2257 plugin module as part of the Software.

The MP§2257 plugin module extracts the relevant model identification information automatically and organizes it into a database that provides the quick access to model identification information that is required by the law. Not all adult content contains the model identification information, hower, and in such cases the MP§2257 plugin module cannot supply information that does not exist, and will not prepare a complete database.

Licensor does not warrant that use of the MP§2257 plugin module will ensure compliance with the law, nor will the software determine what level of compliance is required by the Licensee. The sole purpose of the MP§2257 plugin module is to simplify the task of Licensee to create the necessary database of model identification information, when supplied with adult content that includes the required documentation.

Licensee hereby waives any claim of liability arising from use of the MP§2257 plugin module, and agrees to hold harmless and defend Licensor in the event that Licensee’s use of the MP§2257 plugin module results in any claim against Licensor.
